When Christie® was tasked to implement and manage an Environmental Management System (EMS) program over 10 years ago, most employees did not understand the full impact it would have both on the company and themselves.
Since its inception, the greatest achievement the program has had is the increased environmental awareness of the employees throughout the organization. There is a corporate general awareness of how employees’ jobs effect the environment.
A green commuteChristie employees are advocates for the environment too. One of the areas that employees focus their efforts on is their daily commute.

While Christie adheres to the philosophy of the EMS Policy its employees continue to challenge and continually improve on its principles of promoting environmental sustainability.
Employees now recycle, turn off lights, have chosen more environmentally friendly ways to commute to work, volunteer in community events – and have incorporated this awareness not only in the workplace, but in their own lives.
