InfoComm 2024

Complete end-to-end solutions on display, including a one-of-a-kind LED-wrapped piano

Experience 95 years of innovation at InfoComm 2024

June 05, 2024

LAS VEGAS – At InfoComm 2024, Christie’s integrated and interactive technology will be on display from June 12-14 in the Las Vegas Convention Center in booth W1024. Attendees can experience Christie—from an immersive, interactive room to a piano wrapped in MicroTiles® LED—and get hands-on with the technology that powers some of Las Vegas’ best experiences.

“As we celebrate our 95th anniversary, we’re proud to recognize what makes Christie unique in this industry: our trusted partnerships, our collaborative spirit, our deep roots as a technology innovator, and our journey to create sustainable solutions,” says Michael Bosworth, executive vice president, enterprise/ProAV, Christie. “The heart of Christie is our people, and we’re passionate about creating transformative experiences at the leading edge of ProAV. Stop by our booth at InfoComm and let us help you deliver exceptional experiences for your customers.”

MicroTiles LED takes the stage

Christie will showcase a one-of-a-kind MicroTiles LED-wrapped piano in booth W1024. Created in partnership with the band Something Corporate and Procraft Media, the band required an LED solution that could encompass as much of the piano as possible and be bright enough to be seen during outdoor, daytime performances. Attendees can see why the small form factor and high brightness of MicroTiles LED made it the ideal solution.

Attendees can get up close to Christie’s award-winning MicroTiles LED with a hands-on demo and see the range of pixel pitches – from 0.75 to 1.25 – displayed on a large, single display. With the latest advancements in our MicroTiles LED technology, they consume half the power, and for additional sustainability, the unique modular design of MicroTiles LED means that the existing infrastructure of the display can be retained if the video wall tiles are upgraded to a different pixel pitch.

Also on the booth will be the new 0.9mm pixel pitch Core Series III LED video wall. It offers enhanced performance, reliability, improved value, and lower power consumption. This results in a video wall that is up to 40% more energy efficient and 30% lighter than its predecessor, Core Series II. With a direct mount system, it’s easier to handle and install. Core Series III is available in a range of pixel pitches from 0.9mm to 2.5mm.

Christie Pandoras Box turns 20

In another company milestone, Christie’s suite of content management and show control technology, Pandoras Box®, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. For two decades, Pandoras Box technology has worked behind the scenes of live events, projection mapping spectaculars, and entertainment venues to keep the show running smoothly.

Pandoras Box will provide complete show control for the entire booth, including two projection mapping displays. The first will use a Christie HS Series 1DLP® laser projector to map onto a museum-inspired sculptural display and the second onto 3D hexagonal shapes with Christie M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors.

Attendees can experience the newest version of Pandoras Box Software, which includes significant enhancements to the 2D Warper feature that is integrated with Workspaces. Users can visualize their stage set-up in 2D, with all layers and pixel parameters, and warp content without switching content views. This allows for more intuitive navigation and faster workflow.

Guests can also learn about the new Pandoras Box Content Management System (CMS), which improves control of the media timeline and content scheduling, and how to become a beta tester.

Projection mapping onto a complex wood sculpture

In this unique collaboration between Gabriel Schama Studios and Limelight Art, a Christie HS Series 1DLP® laser projector will be used to projection map onto “Cathedral of Thieves”, a beautifully intricate sculpture with 13 layers of laser cut wood, that will be brought to life by the 3D digital light artwork by artist collective Limelight Art.

Experience an interactive, immersive room

Attendees can experience an interactive, immersive room on the Christie stand, created by its partners Augmenta and THÉORIZ. Attendees can interact with projected content on the walls and floor of the room – from meditative and contemplative scenes like water ripples and swaying black and white fabric, to dynamic content with explosions and fiery particles. Behind the experience are six Christie 4K13-HS 1DLP® laser projectors and Pandoras Box Software.

Ultimate contrast with RGB pure laser projection

Christie’s newest RGB pure laser projector – the M 4K15 RGB – will make its InfoComm debut equipped with the new 0.8-1.16:1 ultra-high-contrast lens for 6,000:1 contrast and outstanding image quality. Attendees are invited to experience the M 4K15 RGB projector and lens in a light-controlled environment during demonstrations that take place between 3:30-5 p.m. daily at the booth.
Part of Christie’s award-winning M 4K RGB Series, the M 4K15 RGB delivers 15,750 lumens and combines ruggedness, reliability, and brightness into a compact chassis. It is also energy efficient: it outputs 13 lumens/watt and uses 4,136 BTU/hour for an estimated 27% yearly operational cost savings over the leading competitive model.

A redefined operator experience with Christie Hedra

Workstations with one or two larger monitors and a single keyboard and mouse are the newest trend in control rooms. With Hedra™, Christie’s video wall processor, users can manage and arrange up to 18 inputs in KVM mode for a smaller and more ergonomic workstation. Christie will demonstrate Hedra’s capabilities at the show.

Support for ProAV systems

Christie Professional Services will be at the booth and available to speak with attendees about ChristieCare, a comprehensive extended warranty solution for ten worry-free years of ownership and beyond, and their breadth of service options, including how they can support, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial AV systems.

Learn how experienced technicians at Christie’s Network Operations Center (NOC) use Cinergy, a remote monitoring and management software platform, to spot issues before they impact systems.

Christie across the show floor

Christie will demonstrate its new technology for applications including broadcast, sports venues, and live events at booth #W3651. Christie Broadcast and Professional Video representatives will be on hand to showcase a technology that includes a multi-screen windowing system with a simplified, yet unique flexible architecture that allows for almost infinite configurations offering high performance. Also on demo is the highest-performance KVM on the market, along with superior color depth gateway that exceeds SMPTE standards.

Christie technology can be experienced at booths including Igloo Vision, #C9377, which will feature HS Series and GS Series 1DLP laser projectors; Legrand, #C8600, will use an M 4K25 RGB pure laser projector; and SDVoE Alliance will use an 86-inch Access II Series LCD panel on its booth, #C8157. Additionally, ClearLED will use Pandoras Box Software to playback content on a large LED cube in its booth, #W2159.
