Also on show is Christie CounterAct™, the world’s first UVC disinfection fixture with patented Care222® filtered far-UVC light technology that can be used when people are present.
“We’re excited to reunite with our partners and customers from APAC whom we have not seen in person for more than three years,” says Han Kim, executive director for APAC, Cinema, Christie. “As the region recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic and with the impending release of highly anticipated blockbuster films, we have expanded our product offerings to offer the widest range of cinema projectors that enable exhibitors to deliver impactful cinematic experiences with high return of investment for all screen sizes. CineAsia is the perfect platform for us to reconnect, strengthen relationships and discuss how our technologies can elevate cinema to greater heights.”
Among the main highlights are Christie CineLife+™ Series cinema projectors that feature ultra-fast Series 4 processing electronics and Real|Laser illumination that deliver premium movie-going experiences by setting a new standard in image quality – with the most expansive color gamut and contrast of any technology – the highest efficiency in their class and the lowest total cost of ownership.
Attendees can check out static displays of the upcoming CP4455-RGB and CP4445-RGB, which are capable of 57,000 and 47,000 lumens respectively – making them the perfect choice for premium large format auditoriums. Both models are also equipped with long-lasting light source providing over 50,000 hours of stable DCI brightness, and Christie Mystique™ Cinema, a fully built-in dual projection DCI-compliant auto-calibration image alignment software for seamless blending in seconds.
Also available to view is the CP2306-RGBe, a high-value cinema projector that features enhanced RGB laser illumination, CineLife™ electronics and provides improved color gamut, brightness, contrast, and operational life in an affordable projection platform for smaller screens. Available in three brightness configurations, they are capable of projecting up to 10,000 DCI lumens of brightness, achieve greater than 90% of the Rec. 2020 color space, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio for amazing cinematic experiences.
Making its debut at CineAsia is the new CP2420-Xe, a 22,000-lumen, DCI-compliant cinema projector. Featuring CineLife+ electronics processing with an intuitively easy-to-use UI, greater reliability than the competition can offer, and longer lamp life with genuine Xenolite® Ultimate Performance lamps, the CP2420-Xe delivers long-term brightness and excellent image performance with the lowest operating costs in its class.
Christie CounterAct, a line of commercial UV disinfection fixtures with patented Care222® far-UVC light technology, will be on display. Ideal for cinemas and other indoor venues, CounterAct effectively reduces 99% of pathogens while people are present and adds an additional layer of defense as part of a multi-disinfection strategy.
