Headed to the entertainment capital of the world? Here’s where you’ll find Christie solutions!
There’s no other city in the world quite like Las Vegas. The lights, glamour, and excitement truly must be experienced to be understood. And the experiences in the city are top-notch—from virtually soaring over The Strip to the excitement of an NHL game.
But what you may not know about Las Vegas is that behind many of the biggest and boldest experiences throughout the city are Christie solutions. Next time you’re in Vegas, add these experiences and installations from our trusted partners to your must-see list.
The Strip
If you’re visiting the city, you’re likely staying on or close to The Strip — it’s quintessential Las Vegas! Here, you’ll find Christie solutions in entertainment venues, hotels, and the T-Mobile Arena.
KÀ by Cirque du Soleil: Christie 3DLP® projectors help bring this epic story of love and conflict to life at the MGM Grand. Changing theatrical environments come alive on a 360-degree stage, complemented by exciting displays including vertical choreography, an ariel duet, and swordplay.
Flyover Las Vegas: Located next to the Hard Rock Café on Las Vegas Boulevard, Flyover immerses guests in landscapes, stories, and culture with flight motion seats, a wraparound screen, wind, and scent to complete the experience. Once you’re settled into your seat, you’ll fly over Chicago, the Canadian Rockies, Iceland, and the rugged landscape of the American West. Three Christie RGB pure laser projectors illuminate the screens in each of the two theatres, which were integrated by Kraftwerk Living Technologies.
Mad Apple by Cirque du Soleil: Mad Apple brings the excitement of New York City to Las Vegas. With acrobatics, music, dance, and comedy, Mad Apple is a thrill ride that engages guests the moment they step into the theatre at New York New York Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. And the Christie technology that’s working behind the scenes? It’s Pandoras Box, providing show control and content management.
Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil: Michael Jackson ONE is a state-of-the-art visual and audio experience dedicated to the creative legacy of its namesake artist at Mandalay Bay. Guided by Michael Jackson’s music, four misfits set out on a journey that will take them on a tour through the King of Pop's discography. The show is complemented by 22 Christie M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors.
Mystère by Cirque du Soleil: Mystère™ combines incredible gravity-defying acrobatics, dance, and music into one unforgettable show. With a cast of 67 artists and Christie Pandoras Box and Widget Designer managing the show’s content, Mystère delights guests at this Cirque du Soleil staple at Treasure Island Hotel and Casino.
LINQ Hotel + Experience: McCann Systems, which specializes in the design, build, and integration of communications solutions, worked with media artist Refik Anadol to create DATALAND:LINQ, a digital art installation that welcomes guests at the front of The LINQ and continues through to the casino. The number of displays used in the installation required a powerful processor that was up to the task of managing content for 5,000 square feet of LED. The solution? A Christie Spyder X80.
T-Mobile Arena: Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas’ NHL team, knows how to engage fans. From their first games in the arena, they’ve brought the story of the Knights to life, complete with on-ice projection-mapped content. Pandoras Box® Software, integrated by Image Engineering, works behind the scenes to provide powerful show control and content management.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace: Solotech led the upgrade of the entertainment venue, which includes six Christie 3DLP® projectors and our image processor. With state-of-the-art displays, audio, and lighting capabilities, the space is designed with flexibility in mind to meet the varying demands of touring acts that perform there.
Atomic Golf: This new addition to The Strip is a 99,000-square-foot golf entertainment venue, where you’ll find over 100 high-tech golf bays and eight virtual putting areas. Beaudry Interactive designed the virtual putting areas, and Coherent Design selected 32 GS Series laser projectors to illuminate each area.
Historic Downtown Las Vegas
Head north of The Strip, and you’ll find Downtown Las Vegas. Centered around Fremont Street, it’s a mix of new and vintage experiences.
Fremont Street Experience: This pedestrian-only area includes vintage casinos, live performances, restaurants, and Viva Vision — the largest LED canopy screen in the world. Suspended 90 feet above the pedestrian mall, shows run nightly on the hour, beginning at 6 p.m. Fremont Street Experience relies on Pandoras Box Software, integrated by Theatrical Concepts Inc., to manage content for the 16.4-million-pixel canopy.
Mob Museum: Steps from Fremont Street and housed in a former federal courthouse, the Mob Museum is a non-profit organization with a mission to advance the understanding of organized crime’s history and its impact on American society. Inside, you’ll find artifacts and immersive exhibits, as well as Christie technology, including our GS Series laser projectors and a 17-foot (5-meter) wide interactive video wall made up of eight 55-inch Christie Ultra Series LCD panels.
City of Henderson
So, we’re technically not in Las Vegas proper with Henderson, but it’s close, and we’ll take any chance we can to talk about Lee’s Family Forum.
Lee’s Family Forum: This state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue is a product of a public-private partnership between the City of Henderson and a group of investors led by Bill Foley. Home to the Henderson Silver Knights, the AHL affiliate of the Vegas Golden Knights, the arena opened in March 2022 and is operated by the Foley Entertainment Group. Like their NHL affiliate, the arena features on-ice projection-mapped content using Pandoras Box Software and 12 Christie 3DLP projectors, the only AHL arena with this kind of projection mapping show.
