Let’s recap InfoComm Asia 2024!

July 25, 2024

Let’s look at three key experiences, how they were created, and the smart tech behind them.

In this piece:

What a show! We exhibited at the InfoComm Asia trade show in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 17-19 and showcased our smart technologies and how they work together to create complete AV solutions. In collaboration with our exceptionally talented partners, our goal was to create stunning, thought-provoking experiences that inspired and engaged all booth visitors

Let’s look at three key experiences we showcased, how they were created, and the smart tech behind them.

Immersive room

You may have seen stories and photos on social media of our immersive room displays at the ISE 2024 and InfoComm 2024 trade shows that we developed in partnership with Augmenta and THÉORIZ. We worked with Hexogon Vietnam to showcase a similar concept at InfoComm Asia.

A sign outside of an immersive room reads, “Immersive content sponsored by Hexogon”

We partnered with Hexogon Vietnam to bring a two-sided CAVE to InfoComm Asia.

This two-sided immersive room experience featured interactive projection on both the walls and the diamond-shaped floor. We used three 4K13-HS1DLP® laser projectors — two used an ultra-short throw lens and another had a zoom lens — rigged from the ceiling, sensors for interactivity, and Christie Pandoras Box Software® for content management. The result? An immersive CAVE (Cave Automatic Virtual Environment) that engaged guests with dynamic content.

We collaborated with Hexogon Vietnam to create an immersive CAVE at InfoComm Asia.

“Cathedral of Thieves”

We first showcased “Cathedral of Thieves” — original artwork by Gabriel Schama Studios with projection-mapped content by Limelight — at InfoComm 2024 in Las Vegas, and it drew considerable attention (and not just from us!). Read what Event Marketer had to say about this display.

“Cathedral of Thieves” is a stunning piece of laser-cut wood art that measures 42” (1 meter) wide by 62” (1.6 meters) high. We projection-mapped content by Limelight, an award-winning digital art design studio, with our new 23,750-lumen Jazz Series 1DLP laser projector.* The bright, vibrant content perfectly highlights the intricate, globally inspired depiction of a cathedral in this museum-inspired experience.

“Temple” 3D projection mapping

When we first displayed “Temple” at InfoComm China 2023, this spectacular 3D projection mapping display garnered so much attention we decided to showcase it again!

A large 3D structure that is inspired by ancient Chinese artifacts and architecture is projection mapped with vivid colors.

We projection mapped this 6-meter-wide (19.5 feet) 3D-printed structure using two 25,300-lumen Christie M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors with Christie Mystique LSE and Pandoras Box.

What is “Temple”? It’s a 6-meter-wide (19.5 feet) 3D-printed structure that’s inspired by ancient Chinese architecture and deities. It’s powered by two 25,300-lumen Christie M 4K25 RGB pure laser projectors with Christie Mystique LSE and Pandoras Box for real-time editing of the sequence frame animations at resolutions of up to 8K and playback at 60 fps (frames per second).

The result? With just a single click, users can effortlessly align and blend multiple projectors on this complex 3D surface that has over 800,000 facets within minutes!

What’s next?

The show was a success – and now we’re busy getting ready for our next InfoComm…in India!

If you’re headed to InfoComm India, find us in booth #C01 from September 3-4 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. Visit us to learn how our smart technology can power your next immersive experience!

*Note: Jazz Series is available for order in APAC (the Asia Pacific region) and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) now and will be available in the Americas later in 2024.
