The highly-anticipated Christie CP4325-RGB cinema projector is poised to become a game-changing proposition for mainstream auditoriums
BIRTV/BEIJING - Christie® is conducting live demonstrations of its next generation ‘all-in-one’ direct-coupled RGB pure laser projector at the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film Exhibition (BIRTV), China International Exhibition Center, August 23-26.
With its innovative design and next generation direct coupled RGB illumination system, the Christie CP4325-RGB is the most advanced pure laser projector on the market. Its compact all-in-one form factor eliminates the need for sub-ambient cooling, and provides a vast palette of colors, higher contrast ratio, and low maintenance costs for exhibitors looking at embracing laser projection in their mainstream auditoriums.
“The CP4325-RGB cinema projector is engineered from the ground-up in Christie’s world-class research, development and manufacturing facility, and will deliver an all-new platform offering an affordable, reliable and performance-driven cinematic experience, developed specifically to meet the needs of mainstream cinemas,” said Jason Pei, Deputy General Manager, Christie China. “With its all-in-one enclosure system and high performance capabilities, the CP4325-RGB is well-positioned to become the benchmark for laser-based cinema and exemplifies Christie’s technological leadership in the cinema market.”
Dr. Don Shaw, Senior Director, Cinema Sales, Christie Asia Pacific, commented, “The CP4325-RGB is the forerunner of a line of Christie RGB pure laser projection solutions intended for mainstream cinema applications and as such is an ideal replacement product for exhibitors wishing to upgrade existing installations, as well as for new-build cinemas and retrofits. With its compact footprint, long operational life, increased performance capabilities and elimination of consumables, the CP4325-RGB is a game-changing proposition for mainstream auditoriums looking for a performance upgrade when investing in their next generation cinema experience rather than just a swap of technology.”
The Christie CP4325-RGB, like its fiber-coupled cousin - the Christie CP42LH, offers a wide color gamut exceeding DCI P3, enhanced contrast ratios and high frame rates. The CP4325-RGB will also feature Christie’s new CineLife™ Series 3 electronics and embedded cinema automation for streamlined playback, scheduling and content management.
Advanced laser light for long operational life
Employing next-generation RGB pure laser devices, Christie’s advanced research and development teams have been able to eliminate the need for any external cooling, drastically reducing system complexity and cost, while ensuring an impressive and reliable operational life of more than 30,000 hours, with only a 20 percent loss in brightness over this time. It also has a contrast ratio of up to 6000:1 and provides better uniformity and a wider color gamut than other cinema projection systems. In addition, the projector’s compact form-factor means that it can be easily integrated into any standard cinema booth.
The Christie CineLife™ platform powering the CP4325-RGB and Christie’s entire, expanding line of DCI-compliant projectors features a streamlined UX-inspired interface, and simplifies the playback, scheduling and management of cinema content. Field tested on more than 100 screens since 2014 with the next-generation Christie IMB, the CineLife Series 3 electronics also provides backwards compatibility with existing Series 2 IMB architectures.
Visitors at BIRTV can catch the Christie CP4325-RGB in action at booth #2A233 from now until Saturday, and experience bright and lifelike visuals like never before.
