Comprehensive showcase of Christie’s laser projection systems
Among the main attractions is a spectacular 4K mapping display using the Christie D4K40-RGB pure laser projector that exhibits excellent color, brightness uniformity and control, coupled with low maintenance. This award-winning 45,000-lumen all-in-one projector offers stunning visuals that are best-suited for applications such as giant screens, large-scale venues, planetariums and domes.
Another highlight is a tech preview of the upcoming Christie M 4K25 RGB projector, which is an evolution of the original M Series that has been widely deployed all over the world and earned the legacy as an “industry workhorse”. Equipped with RGB pure laser illumination, 4K resolution, TruLife+ electronics and a host of new features, this all-in-one 3DLP projector will be officially launched later this year.
Visitors can also check out static displays of Christie’s range of laser-illuminated projectors that deliver exceptional image quality, brightness, versatility, and ease-of-use. They include the Christie Griffyn 4K32-RGB pure laser projector, which recently won the 2021 InAVation Award in the Events Technology category. Ready to illuminate any surface with 34,000 lumens while operating at less than 46dBA at full brightness, it designed for use at theme parks, sports venues, and other large-scale environments.
Also on show are the newly launched Captiva DWU500S and Inspire Series laser projectors that are suitable for boardrooms, classrooms and conference rooms, as well as the HS Series, DS Series and APS Series laser projectors, which are widely deployed in China.
Powerful content management and auto calibration solutions
The vibrant onscreen visuals showcased at the booth are driven by Christie’s powerful yet versatile content management and auto calibration solutions – Christie Pandoras Box media servers, and Christie Mystique™ automated camera-based alignment and recalibration solution.
A fascinating 3D projection mapping demonstration on a model of an ancient tower, which measures 6 meters in length and 3 meters in height, made possible using three 20,600-lumen Christie DWU2022-HS 1DLP laser projectors (specifically developed for the Chinese market), Christie Pandoras Box and Christie Mystique. This projection mapping demonstration underlines the strengths of Christie’s integrated solutions and has captivated many visitors during recent roadshows in Guangzhou and Nanjing.
At the heart of this visually arresting showcase is Christie Pandoras Box Version 8, which consists of a host of professional new features, a simplified workflow and streamlined licensing for real-time video processing and show control. With this software license, users can have access to the full Pandoras Box software family feature suite to deliver the high-level media processing performance required for fixed installations, live events, theaters and other entertainment environments, in a budget friendly platform.
Image configuration is accomplished with Christie Mystique, an automated camera-based alignment and recalibration solution that enables users to quickly install, align, calibrate and maintain multi-projector systems. It is ideal for use in themed attractions, domes and large sports venues, where maintaining the alignment manually can be a very labor-intensive task.
