CineLife+ Series projectors set to dazzle at SXSW Sydney

SYDNEY – Christie^® is excited to announce that its state-of-the-art CineLife+ Series cinema projectors will once again captivate audiences at SXSW Sydney 2024, taking place from October 14-20.

Now in its second year, SXSW Sydney 2024 promises to be a standout event, offering a diverse array of music, gaming, technology, and film experiences. As a trusted partner of this prestigious festival, Christie projection technology will once again deliver stunning visual experiences to attendees across multiple locations, including the Darling Harbour Theatre at ICC Sydney.

Original Syndicate, in collaboration with HOYTS Cinema Technology Group (CTG), Christie’s longstanding partner, will oversee the Screen Festival Showcase, providing comprehensive technical services to ensure seamless operation of all equipment, including the projection systems. The 4K-resolution, 35,000-lumen Christie CP4435-RGB pure laser cinema projector, which wowed audiences at SXSW Sydney 2023, will return to deliver breathtaking visuals on a newly installed 15.3-meter by 6.58-meter (50-foot by 21-foot) screen in the Darling Harbour Theatre, promising an unforgettable viewing experience.

Additionally, film enthusiasts can also enjoy screenings powered by the new Christie CineLife+ RBe projectors at Palace Central Cinema Sydney in Chippendale, another key screening venue for SXSW Sydney. Installed by HOYTS CTG, these projectors are set to enthral audiences with their vivid, high-quality visuals.

The CP4435-RGB will screen The Front Room, a psychological horror film written and directed by the Eggers Brothers in their feature debut, alongside Smile 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2022 box office hit starring Naomi Scott. Other notable films in the lineup include Pavements, an experimental musical biopic concert film directed by Alex Ross Perry, and Nightbitch, a dark comedy written and directed by Marielle Heller, starring Amy Adams.
