CÓRDOBA, Argentina – Christie® is pleased to announce that Argentine cinema chain Cinemacenter has selected its CineLife+™ Series cinema projectors to equip its new Paseo Libertad Rivera Indarte complex in Córdoba, the country’s second-largest city. Recently opened and integrated by CES+, this cinema marks a milestone in the Argentine cinema industry as the country’s first fully laser-equipped multiplex.
The complex features five screens with a total seating capacity of 1,100. Its largest auditorium is equipped with a Christie CP2415-RGB pure laser projector, delivering up to 15,000 lumens, 2K resolution, and Real|Laser™ illumination technology, offering superior image quality, operational lifespan, and overall cost efficiency.
The other auditoriums are equipped with CineLife+™ RBe projectors, including the CP2409-RBe, CP2411-RBe, and CP2406-RBe models. These projectors feature Phazer™ illumination technology, which combines advanced performance and electronics in a cost-effective platform, with 2K resolution and brightness levels ranging from 6,000 to 11,000 lumens.
The decision to choose Christie laser projectors was influenced by several factors, as explained by Esteban Suñé, CEO of Cinemacenter: “100% laser technology was essential for renewing our fleet of projectors. Christie’s advancements in this field convinced us, and the close support from both the brand and CES+ during the acquisition process was key to building the confidence needed to make this decision. Additionally, the competitive pricing of this cutting-edge technology was a decisive factor in choosing Christie as our supplier.”
Christie projectors have exceeded Cinemacenter’s expectations: “The image quality is outstanding, with vibrant colors and impeccable definition that enhance every screening. Additionally, their ease of use has been greatly appreciated by our technical team, who find them practical and efficient to operate. Undoubtedly, the standout feature of these projectors is their laser technology, which not only delivers exceptional visual performance but also stands out for its energy efficiency and low maintenance requirements,” added Suñé.
The Cinemacenter CEO emphasized the efficiency achieved: “Christie’s innovative projector technology has not only elevated the quality of our screenings but has also contributed to optimizing the operational efficiency of the complex. This investment has made a significant difference in our cinematic offerings.”
Suñé also highlighted the excellent service provided by Christie and CES+: “The support we received was impeccable. We felt fully backed throughout the entire projector selection and acquisition process, which was key to solidifying the trust that made this project possible. Additionally, we received technical training for our team from a Christie specialist who traveled to Argentina for the session. This valuable experience reaffirmed Christie’s commitment to Cinemacenter. The consistent collaboration and attention to detail ensured a smooth process from planning to implementation.”
Cinemacenter plans to continue its technological renovation process, intending to rely on Christie for future projects: “We are already drafting a replacement plan for 2025, and we will undoubtedly continue to trust Christie for our new fleet of laser projectors,” concluded Suñé.
With this new cinema, Cinemacenter now operates 95 screens across 19 complexes in 10 Argentine provinces.
